Like the Hall of Fame Awards program & the DMA Awards, the Marketing Leader of the Year Award is fashioned closely on the lines of the program at the global DMA. The program however has been re-modeled to serve the needs of the fraternity. It is a joint citation for an individual & the company.

Individual – The individual would have exhibited the following:
tick Leadership through innovation and implementation of new products or services, processes, or personal growth using data-driven marketing.
tick Ability to influence the direct marketing community and elevate its status quo with a proven commitment to enhance the benchmarks of the direct marketing community.
tick An enormous impact on the data-driven industry within the last 12 months or has earnestly shouldered corporate and social responsibility.
Organization – The organization would have exhibited the following:
tick A remarkable impact on multichannel direct marketing using data and achieved outstanding results.
tick Comprehensible innovation, marketplace success, and direct response impact within the community by involving new concepts, methods/models, and use of direct marketing processes, within the last 12 months.
tick Successful implementation of direct marketing for optimal customer communications, response, and retention.
tick Outstanding loyalty marketing and customer service measured by return rate and retention
tick Results achieved in the process demonstrate awe-inspiring corporate and social responsibility.

The award will be given across 6 categories with no nomination pitted against any other. Each nomination takes into account the work done in view of its own situations, circumstances & imperatives. There is neither a minimum or nor any maximum number of citations the winner stands to receive.

Just like there’s nothing as being half pregnant, there is no gold, silver or bronze citation. Either you are a marketer of the year within your category or you are not. Nevertheless, the categories are merely a way of grouping eligible nominations with various common denominators.

tick Young Marketer – Individual under 30 years of Age, irrespective of Company’s turnover or its Age.
tick Hot Start-Up – Individual of any age. Nevertheless, the company’s date of incorporation should be less than 36 months as on 1 Jan 2014.
tick Fastest under a Billion – Individual of any age shouldering P&L responsibilities of a capital under 100 crore.
tick Fastest Under a Billion $ – Individual of any age, P&L responsibility over 100 crore INR and under 6000 crore INR.
tick Billionaire Brand – Individual any age, P&L responsibility over 6000 crore INR.
tick Not For Profit – Individual of any age, irrespective of company’s age or turnover. Nevertheless, the association should stand for a collective cause and not for profit.

The eminent jury for the inaugural edition of the DMAi Marketer of the year award comprises the greats like Sanjay Bhel from Raymond as chairperson, along with other distinguished panel members who will pick and choose the best out of the best and honor; the joint citation to the most deserving individual and the organization.
